A long-lost and sought-after Drum Lesson is now back to life.
Turn your iDevice into a drum instructor that provides you with audio demonstrations of the complete set of 77 Drum Rudiments including 26 American, 12 Swiss, 24 Innovations and 15 Chops Builders, performed and passed on by legendary drummer and instructor, Alan Dawson. His renowned "ritual" is based on this set of Drum Rudiments.
Now a part of his legacy including his actual performance, has been digitally restored and is available for the first time on iDevices.
Demonstrated all on a practice pad for clarity of sound.
Hi-Res printout of music notation, wirelessly from Wi-Fi printers.
The Drum Rudiments are the fundamental phrases widely adopted by drummers and other musicians. Having demonstration by the master instructor offers student a positive perspective over practice just about to begin with. This makes a significant difference especially when a vast time investment is involved.
A Must-Have for any serious drummer.
Latest reviews of AD Rudiments app for iPhone and iPad
Good idea, poor execution
I like the idea but the design is horrible. You can control the playback of recordings – you can only start them – which makes the app useless.
Good contents, poor interface
I love the content: Alans heritage is incredible, despite the poor recording quality that sometimes makes difficult to hear his words and/or the practice pad. Unfortunately, the app is flawed in the interface design and in the reliability department: it crashes regularly, and any upgrade is long overdue.
A "must" have!!!
If you want to have a private lesson with one of the greatest drum teacher ever, you must get this app. The rudiments are audio examples played by Alan Dawson himself, demonstrating each rudiment played at a slow to fast tempo. Click on to the website and you"ll get his teaching methods with the legendary Stick Control and Ted Reed method books. I highly recommend this app to the serious drum student who wants to build a solid foundation.
